In other words, your happiness has to come from within yourself. It doesn’t come from any external factor.
It’s not really a hard concept to accept. It’s not even all that mystical, or woo-woo. Everything we experience comes from our mind experiencing it. Every emotion we feel is brought on by our own perspective and thoughts on the subject.
It all comes from our awareness of it. And that comes from within.
This means that we have the power to direct our attention and our experience of life. We have the power to choose our own happiness. It is an inside job that we get to do, which can make everything out there as wonderful as we choose.
