Our minds are powerful creative forces. What we think about with our minds is what we bring to us. What we focus upon expands. It’s important to have an awareness of this, to think about what we do want, and to focus on all that is going right. Equally, we shouldn’t waste any time on what we don’t want. That also pertains to any interactions with certain undesirable people.
Dwight D. Eisenhower said, “Never waste a minute thinking about people you don’t like.” Isn’t that refreshing? After all, don’t you just end up wasting precious time fighting with them in your head anytime you think about them? All that does is train your mind to be against them even more, making any real-life interaction with them almost unbearable. It’s best, and frankly so much more enjoyable, to not even bother giving them a moment’s thought.
What we think about, we attract to us. What we focus upon expands. The smartest thing you can do then, is to think about the kind of people you want in your life, and to focus on all of the wonderful folks you’re lucky enough to already know.
