The idea of having perfect peace, or achieving a state of zen seems like such a lofty goal.

Actually, achieving zen is really just focusing on awareness of the present moment, and only the present moment.

Then you go from there.

Moment by moment, stay in the awareness of the present moment and what you may be doing.

That focus and awareness seems simple enough, and yet is extremely powerful.

It’s also not what we are in the habit of doing.

We usually fill our minds with so many distractions and worries, that we don’t even notice our lives breezing by.

Our lives will continue to move forward whether we are distracted or present.

So, if you want to achieve a zen state of peace, learn how to focus.
