It’s becoming more clear to me that when I miss a moment by being stuck in worry or fear, that I won’t be getting that moment back. Our moments are precious pieces of our lives; to be lived, fully in the now.
We can’t afford to miss a moment. It’s not like a TV show, where we can just catch it at another time. Once a moment of our life is gone, it’s gone. Wasting any moment on worry or fear is a real shame.
Author Alan Cohen says: “All of life is right where you are. Never trade the peace of now for fear and worry.”
Of course we’re going to feel afraid or worried at times, but remembering at what cost just might help be that reminder needed to choose the peace that’s available in the present moment.
