Whatever “life experience” I have, or do not have, should not stop me from moving forward.
I cannot recreate my past. I can only create an even better future. And I need to be at peace with that fact.
It’s empowering to realize that I can be the source of my peace.
In the prayer of Saint Francis, he states: “Make me an instrument of thy peace.” With this, St. Francis is not asking God to provide him with peace. He is asking to be shown how to be like the peace he feels from the Creator.
It’s an example of how to be the peace you seek, rather than looking for peace from an outside source.
We have that power and can move forward, in peace, no matter how things were before.
