Pessimism

Pessimism is a particularly sinister addiction.

It feels like it’s protecting you. It feels like you’re being discerning, like you’re expressing a valid opinion.

But, the more you judge things in a pessimistic light, under the guise of offering an opinion, the more you teach your brain to be pessimistic.

It feels good to sit in judgement.

But, being judgmental in pessimism is destructive to your perspective.

You will start to see everything as bad, and end up hating it all.

If this sounds familiar, it’s because it can be found in every comment section online.

There you’ll find the majority of comments are negative opinions about practically anything and everything.

That’s because pessimism is addictive.

Be on the lookout for this. Choose to take a different approach, and see if you can stand out as the hero of optimism that the world so desperately needs.
