It’s good to be confident in what you’re doing. It’s good to be comfortable in your level of experience and knowledge. However, certainty in any of it is a trap.
Milton Glaser says, “Certainty is a closing of the mind.”
We just can’t know the whole truth, as there are so many perspectives.
Confidence is good, but certainty is arrogant and naive to say the least.
By the way, Milton Glaser is that extremely famous graphic designer, who created the iconic I Love New York logo. I’m not entirely certain, but I am fairly confident that he knows what he’s talking about.
