We all want peace in the world. We want the freedom that comes from everyone getting along.
In order for the outer world to have peace, we each need to cultivate peace within our own heart and mind. Peace begins within each of us.
Our thoughts are more powerful than we realize. If we harbor angry, hostile thoughts within ourselves, they are bound to have an effect on the outside. No matter how private we think they are, our thoughts do direct our actions and reactions towards others.
If we do not hold thoughts of peace, we will not act peacefully in our relationships. If there is hostility in any relationship, then peace doesn’t have a chance.
