Listen

In order to have effective communication, you have to learn to listen just as effectively as knowing how to express yourself.

And listening is not merely staying silent while the other person speaks. If you’re busy silently judging or merely thinking of your response, then you’re not listening.

Drop all of that and listen.

That’s the way you learn about the other person and their perspective.

That’s the way to get anywhere with any relationship.

Learn to listen, and you’ll unlock the key to effective communication.
