In order to get along with others, we need to understand their point of view. We don’t have to agree with it, but we should at least understand that they have it, and understand why they have it.
Understanding is so much more than knowledge. You can know someone, but if you don’t understand them, then you can’t really see them for who they are and what they stand for.
