I’m an optimist. I’m inclined to see the good in situations, and in the people I meet. It’s a great way to move forward and gives momentum to push past obstacles. Yet it isn’t always a guaranteed safeguard against hard times, or dubious characters.
I’m well aware that it can’t fix everything that’s wrong with the world. As Seth Godin puts it: “Positive thinking doesn’t solve every problem. But it’s a much better tool than negative thinking.”
So even if it isn’t an invincible superpower, optimism is still the way to the path to the best solutions. And it just feels so darn good to think positively.
