I’m going through the workbook for A Course in Miracles (that is, I’ve started it again – hey, third times a charm) and the lesson for day #30 is: God is in everything I see because God is in my mind.
One of my favorite authors on the subject of ACIM is the very entertaining Pam Grout, whose twist on this lesson goes like: Love is in everything I see because Love is in my mind.
It’s the same the meaning for me; Love equals God, and vice versa. So, I think she’s brilliant for using Love here, because it really helps to make the lesson that much more understandable. When you have Love in your mind, then you see through the eyes of Love.
Another great line of hers on this topic is: The only requirement for a perfect day is a happy mind. After all, isn’t everything we think we want in terms of money, things, status, etc., because we think they will make us happy? Well then, we might as well just cut to the chase and be happy.
And I would bet that seeing everything with a mind filled with Love is a pretty good guarantee at that happiness.
