Today I heard one of the talking heads, from their little grid of Zoom boxes that lately make up what passes for television talk shows, say that we’re currently dealing with a “weird loss of certainty,” and it’s hard navigating it, as they are a “control freak.”
Actually, I don’t think we had any kind of “certainty” to lose. I think what’s really gone away, is the delusion that anything was ever certain in the first place.
Rather than thinking this is a loss, it can be thought of as liberation from that delusion. With that liberation we can see how precious each moment we do get to experience truly is.
Because what is certain in the end, is that none of our moments are guaranteed.
