Mindfulness

I am so grateful for the wave of mindful practices people are employing in reaction to this pandemic. Washing our hands regularly. Being mindful of what we touch and where we go. Covering our mouths when we sneeze and cough. Paying attention to how we feel. Being aware of how fragile our elder community is. Heck, even noting our personal toilet paper consumption, and cutting back so as to preserve what we have. (Geez!) Most of all, remembering that we are a human race, together sharing this one planet.

This should all be common sense, but it’s understandable how we can tend to mindlessly forget it as we navigate such a fast-paced way of life. So, it’s a silver lining to this storm cloud that we’ve slowed down for beat, become more mindful, and more human.
