People are difficult.

Especially when you group them simply as this amorphous entity, called “people.”

When thought of as a group, we then tend to think the group has all the negative qualities of the worst of its members.

And those members are pretty terrible.

But, when you think of a person, that’s a different story.

It’s so much easier to see the best qualities in a single person, and thinking this way gets you to realize that a person is actually likable.

The trick is to remember that “people” are made up of all the individual persons you know, might know, and will know.

Then, focus more on the good ones.
