Keepsake

A keepsake is something that holds sentimental value.

But it’s important to note that the object by itself holds no such thing.

It is only what emotion you tie it to that makes it a keepsake.

So if you lost the keepsake, or it was destroyed somehow, the emotional memory you had tied to it doesn’t have to be lost as well.

You put the value there, so you can take it with you any time, anywhere.

Material objects need have no power over you.
