It feels like the things we do yearly seem to come around again sooner and sooner each year.
But, I don’t think it’s because time is speeding up. I think it’s because the pressure we’re put under (or put under ourselves) to check those boxes off, so to speak, is more intense than ever.
So, we tend to cultivate a life of commitments, rather than live it.
As we focus on just doing the things we have appointed, they simply breeze on by us like turning the page on a calendar.
And then another year has slipped on by.
As we don’t get an unlimited supply of those years, it might be best to focus on living more and worrying less about checking off the activities on a calendar.
