We get into trouble when we pin high expectations on others.

Nobody is perfect, yet we expect others to act that way around us. Just as bad, we expect ourselves to be perfect, but we’re not.

We are human and that’s good enough.

You can even be an angel most of the time, but that human side will come up every once in a while.

You may be brilliant, mostly, but you’re not infallible.

You might be extremely kind and optimistic, mostly, but you’re allowed to have a bad attitude at times.

Strive for mostly.

Expect the best, mostly.

And allow for things to be less than perfect sometimes.
