The single most consistent relationship you will ever have is the one with yourself. There’s that expression, “wherever you go, there you are. ” That alone should be enough of a reason to love yourself like your life depends on it.
It just makes sense to either find a way to like yourself, or to become someone you really like. After all, we only want to be around the people we like.
Since you’re stuck with yourself, you might as well embrace who you are and learn to be someone who you want to spend a good long lifetime with. Then it doesn’t feel like you’re stuck at all. Then it feels like you’re the most blessed person alive, because you get to spend the whole time with someone you think is awesome.
