Live your life, right now in the moment, and as fully as possible, if only for the sake of having these present moments be the cherished memories of your future self.
Just imagine getting to the future, and the only memories you have are of that time you spent five hours looking at variations of the same meme on Instagram. Or that year you clocked more hours scrolling through twitter than having actual face to face conversations.
I think your future self would graciously thank you if you would live your life being present, right here and now, and found joy in these moments. I’m also pretty sure your future self won’t care two hoots about how closely you followed whatever CNN and FOX are dishing about all day. That’s already old news, and not at all worth remembering.

Yes! There’s a huge difference between surviving and living. To choose living is to choose your dreams.

Great point, thank you. I agree! And it starts by choosing to be present.
