It’s amazingly easy to let the stress of modern life run you down. You find yourself racing through the week, just to keep your inbox in check and the actual checks coming through enough at least to pay the bills. Rest periods are overtaken by a need to keep up with posts from people you barely even know through multiple social media apps. And when that’s all done, the remaining time is filled with noise from TV, either broadcast or streaming. Pick your poison.
All of this adds up incrementally in pushing your dreams further away from your reality. But that’s not why you came here. You came here to lead a joyful life, and that comes from fulfilling your dreams. So why do we let all of this lower vibration stuff fill up our days, instead of going after them?
I think it’s because our dreams are risky. Our dreams can be scary. They don’t usually come with preset instructions on how to easily achieve them. But, it’s like that famous quote says: “nothing worth having comes easy.”
Instead of falling into the same daily rut, perhaps you should try a different tactic, and start moving towards those dreams that are definitely worth having.
Mel Robbins says: “Start now. Start where you are. Start with fear. Start with pain. Start with doubt. Start with your hands shaking. Just start.”
Just start. Smalls steps at first is totally fine. It probably won’t be easy, but remember, easy is what has let the stress of modern life run you down. Let’s aim for something higher than easy.
