No matter what kind of thoughts your mind is thinking, whether about the past or future, it's thinking them now, in the present. You are always in the now. Once you learn to get your mind there as well, then you'll realize how powerful you truly are.

Your Perspective
Your perspective colors everything that you see. In fact, it's responsible for everything you see. So, if you don't like what you see, you've got to change your mind. Wayne Dyer said it best when he said: Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at change. It all starts and … Continue reading Your Perspective
Recharge
Remember to take care of yourself and recharge your batteries, so to speak. Eat healthy food, drink plenty of water, exercise, get a bit of sunlight, and definitely prioritize good sleep. We certainly recharge the batteries of those devices we can't seem to live without. The same should apply to our bodies and minds. Because … Continue reading Recharge
Junk Thoughts
Just like our homes can get cluttered with junk, our minds can get cluttered with junk thoughts. Thoughts of worry and resentment, that aren't really helping us, can end up just filling our minds so much that we have trouble thinking clearly. We have to keep up with clearing the clutter. And that applies to … Continue reading Junk Thoughts
Fear
It's been said that fear is the mind killer. It's a dramatic phrase, and yet effectively makes the right point. Fear will stop your mind from working, and prevent any kind of creation that you're normally capable of. The only force powerful enough to stop it, is love. Fear may kill the mind, but love … Continue reading Fear
Considerate
Being considerate entails being thoughtful. Yet, all of those busy, cluttered minds out there, also seem to be thoughtless. Being considerate is such a rare thing these days, that it's often equated with a grand gesture of love. It is loving, but it's also completely natural. Or it's supposed to be. Let's make being considerate … Continue reading Considerate
Sleep
One thing is for sure: a good night's sleep can help to pull you away from a bad day, and give you a new start upon awakening. Sleep helps to quiet your overworking conscious mind, and allows your subconscious a chance to do it's thing, for your mind and that body that you may have … Continue reading Sleep
Out
A mind is a wonderful, helpful tool, but it isn't advisable to stay up in there for too long. The longer you stay hidden in your mind, the longer you miss out on living in the world. If you stay too long hidden in your mind, it will scare you into wanting to stay forever. … Continue reading Out
Calm
Before attempting to deal with any difficult situation, it's best to focus on being calm. A calm mind is a powerful one. Being calm helps you to see the situation clearly and more objectively. Being calm helps reveal the best response. Being calm is a superpower that anyone can access if they choose it.
Mind Work
Our minds are so powerful that they can be our source of heaven or of hell. We experience life through the projections of our mind, so it's probably a good idea to get to know how to get it to work for us, rather than against us. Of course that may be a lot easier … Continue reading Mind Work
Open Mind
Misery comes from believing that you know it all, and that all you know is all there is. It's important keep an open mind and realize that you can't know everything. That realization is actually your saving grace. An open mind helps new ideas to come in, and helps bring compassion to your heart. Life … Continue reading Open Mind
Timing
Time may very well be a construct. It being something created by our minds in order to measure our reality. Even still, if time is simply an artificial construct, then timing is everything. There is a proper time for things to show up in our lives just as we need them. If the timing isn't … Continue reading Timing
Knowledge
They say that knowledge is power. And it's true. Knowledge can equip you with anything you may need to get ahead in life. But knowledge cannot help you if you don't put it into practice. You can't just collect knowledge for it's own sake. You can't always live upstairs in your head. Believe me, I've … Continue reading Knowledge
Present Moment
It's usually much scarier in your mind, than it is out there in the present moment. So, when it does start to get too scary for you, remember to take a breath and get into the present moment. That's where the magic is to feel real joy, and it's certainly where you have all the … Continue reading Present Moment
Overthinking
The mind can be tricky. It can be a relief to understand that thinking is what causes upset, not circumstances. However, if you try to stop thinking, you're only getting deeper into thought. It's tricky. I believe it's best to not let it bother you. The easier you are on yourself about your thoughts, the … Continue reading Overthinking
Choose Love
A Course in Miracles says: "There is only one problem, choosing fear over love." The world seems to be chock full of problems, or as ACIM points out, it's full of fear. Even all of the anger that's coming up in our distressed society is really just a cover for fear. The answer to this … Continue reading Choose Love
Love in my mind
I'm going through the workbook for A Course in Miracles (that is, I've started it again - hey, third times a charm) and the lesson for day #30 is: God is in everything I see because God is in my mind. One of my favorite authors on the subject of ACIM is the very entertaining … Continue reading Love in my mind
See it
Bob Proctor says If you see it in your mind, you will hold it in your hand. I believe this. I don't think it's some magic trick, or woo-woo, new age mumbo jumbo. It's extremely practical when you realize that anything you can physically hold in your hand was once just a thought in someone's head. … Continue reading See it
