In terms of TV shows, only the lucky ones know when they’re gonna end.

They’re the ones that can plan an appropriate finale, where they get to say everything they wanted to say.

A lot of shows just end up getting cancelled.

So, whatever was their last show serves as the finale, and all they can do is hope it brought some tiny bit of resolution to their story.

This is all a great metaphor for people. Only the lucky ones know ahead of time how they’re gonna end, and get say what they wanted to say.
