With October we’re fully in “Fall” mode.

Pumpkins either flavor everything or decorate it.

It’s also “Spooky” season with Halloween coming up, so whatever isn’t decorated with pumpkins gets witches, ghouls and ghosts, black cats and spiders, even elaborate over-sized spider webs.

People actually dust away nature-made cobwebs, only to make room for the fake store-bought stuff.

For those who are lucky, they get to see the leaves change on the trees to beautiful shades of red, orange and yellow.

And everyone’s ready for sweater weather, even if reality makes it still sweat weather for most of the month.

Spooky, pumpkin-flavored, and autumn-colored make October a sentimental favorite for a lot of folks. It also happens to a pretty great month to have a birthday in.
