Yarn tends to bring up images of the elderly.

Of course, dear older ladies tend to knit. They also tend to share long, winding stories, sometimes called “telling a yarn.”

They may seem rambling, but that’s just because life has many twists and turns itself, and these stories are sharing the treasure of life experience.

It would be wise to sit and listen if you ever get lucky enough to be told a yarn by an elder.

You may learn a priceless life lesson.

If you’re really lucky, you might score something knitted with actual yarn at the same time.

Stranger things have happened.
