Some people may scoff at the idea of being gentle with another’s feelings.

But think about how we instinctively know to be gentle with some of the most precious souls.

We’re gentle with small, helpless animals, and gentle with small, helpless humans.

We do that because we know being anything else is inappropriate.

And it applies to everyone, not just the helpless.

Everyone deserves to have our feelings treated gently. Anything else is inappropriate.
