Wayne Dyer had a great teaching, saying “When you squeeze an orange, orange juice comes out – because that’s what’s inside. When you are squeezed, what comes out is what is inside.”
Life is different right now, to put it lightly. And with all of these fast and unnerving changes, we are being squeezed. What comes out of you then, can be a direct result of what you are consuming.
I’m mindful to try and not consume too much of fearful, hysterical, and angry media. Because if and when I do, I notice that is what then comes pouring out of me when I feel squeezed.
My desire is to be a light to the world. I often think of Wayne Dyer’s orange juice analogy as a reminder to keep my focus on light being what is inside of me, rather than fear and anger. And… I’ve found that just like bathing, it’s best if I do this frequently.
