A bit of altruism is needed to create a healthy, functioning society.
We need people to care more for the well being of others around them. will
But it can’t be all one-sided, only thinking of others, never about oneself. After all, your own well-being needs to be taken into account and well cared for. There needs to be a bit of selfishness involved to make sure you survive.
So, there should be a moderate blend of selfishness and altruism in its members to ensure a healthy society.
