Even though there were frustrations and disappointments in my relationship with my mother, like I longed for her to be more maternal, I had decided years ago to not let cross words be said between us, but to let her know I loved her every chance I got, and that I appreciated her.
I’m so glad I did, because when she passed so suddenly and unexpectedly this year, I had no regrets with the way I endlessly let her know how much she meant to me.
If you’re lucky enough to still have your mother in your life, I recommend you let her know you love her and appreciate her while you have the chance. We never know when those chances end, only that they always end too soon.
However, ever since she passed through the veil, I get daily signs I’m convinced are her letting me know she loves me. Not a day has gone by that I haven’t seen angel numbers multiple times, hummingbirds flying around me chirping, or butterflies hovering. The signs are bountiful, but she always was a force to be reckoned with.
I love you, Mom. Happy Mother’s Day to all the different types of mothers out there.
