Someone said that grief is love with nowhere to go, and that’s a pretty excellent way of describing the feeling.

Grief shows up as all kinds of feelings, from sharp pain, to disbelief, to paralyzing fog, but one of the hardest experiences is that powerless feeling that you have nowhere to send the love where you once had such easy access to do so.

Grief is many things, except predictable.
