Your merit is truly based on your actions, what you’ve done.

It isn’t based on who you know, how you look, or how much material wealth you’ve amassed. Because usually the ones who have amassed a lot of material wealth have done so without merit.

Merit is a measure of excellence, and that is shown through your treatment of others, and in making the world a little better through your actions.
