When people say “totally” they really only mean “for the most part” at best.
It’s interesting how we tend to use hyperbole in our language as if just stating reality isn’t enough. As if what we represent isn’t enough.
Is all of this hyperbole in our conversations just like the filtered exaggerated images in our online profiles, where we are trying to sell a version of ourselves that we think is totally better than who we really are?
